Ram Varadarajan is a seasoned Silicon Valley technology professional with over 25 years' experience in large established public companies and innovative start-ups. Varadarajan is currently SVP and GM of the New Business Innovation business unit at CA Technologies. At CA, Varadarajan brings business and technical leadership to Mobility, SaaS, Digital Payments, and Big Data initiatives. He also plays a key role in forging strategic relationships with customers and partners.
Prior to CA, Varadarajan was the co-founder and CEO of Arcot Systems. Under his leadership, Arcot was able to attract top tier Silicon Valley venture capitalists, corporate investors and late stage Wall Street investors, and establish itself as the industry leader in strong authentication and cloud based security solutions serving over 150 million users and 12,000 enterprises. Arcot was acquired by CA Technologies in Oct 2010. Prior to Arcot, Varadarajan spent 7 years in R&D leadership positions at Informix Software, developing industry leading secure and high performance databases.
Varadarajan is an author on several patents. Varadarajan has a B.Tech from IIT Bombay and MS from Louisiana State University. Varadarajan is an avid cricket enthusiastic. He established the New Inning Foundation to foster youth cricket in America. Varadarajan is a patron of fine Arts and serves on the board of Abhinaya Dance Company, a 25 year old institution preserving classical dance forms for newer generations.
